Classes are a particular role that a player can take as an adventurer in the world of Dragon Nest. Choosing a class happens the moment the player creates a character, and this decision will determine that character's appearance, as well as the base stats, skills, weapons and armor applicable to that character.
There are nine different classes available for players, each with its own style of gameplay and roles in battle.

Warrior[]

Warriors are nimble fighters. They specialize in close-combat tactics. In using the way of the sword, they are quick enough to dash into the battlefield and deal massive amounts of damage to a single enemy with unparalelled speed than any of the other classes. Wielding an axe or a hammer, they can heavily damage an enemy with their slow, yet monstrous abilities, capable of destroying even a heavily armored opponent. |

Sword Masters are equipped with mainly damaging attacks and can use them to block incoming attacks with ease and retaliate with destructive force. |

Mercenaries can act as both DPS and Support roles in parties as they have both DPS, party buff and enemy debuff skills. They are more heavily armored than Sword Masters but deal less damage due to their slowness. |

Archers are experts of flexibility and marksmanship, being able to use their bows and arrows — and even their bodies — as lethal weapons to enemies. They are known for their superior mobility and their skills that can kill enemies while avoiding being attacked in return. |

Bowmasters posses the longest range out of all the classes, making it harder for enemies to reach them before they can strike. However, because they lack close ranged and escape skills, they are extremely vulnerable if caught up close. Their primary weapons are Longbows and Crossbows. |
Acrobat | ![]() |
Although they partially give up on their range abilities, Acrobats make up for their poor defenses with speed and escape skills that also make them suitable for close range combat. All of Acrobat's skills are extremely flexible, making it easy to chain one skill into the next. Their primary weapon is the Shortbow. |

Sorceresses utilize Vision Magic in the form of fire, ice and darkness to unleash powerful AoE and direct damage spells. They are considered to be the class that can dish out the most magical damage among the six classes due to ice stacking, but this comes at the price of having little defense. |

Posseses a wide variety of offensive magic attacks of the Fire and Ice elements, being able to inflict both large amounts of damage or status ailments to enemies. Unfortunately, many of those skills require a long casting time that forces her to stand still, leaving her vulnerable to anywhere within the spell's casting period. |

With the ability to debuff enemies and either accelerate or stop time in exchange for offensive attacks, the Force User is more aimed for a supportive role than their counterpart. Many of their skills allow them to control gravity, which immobilizes or slows down enemies either by crushing or sucking them into Black Holes. They compensate their low defenses and HP with mobility, being able to cancel attacks or teleport away from danger. A Force User specializes in Dark and Light magical attacks. |

Clerics are a well-rounded class that can switch roles as a support, defense or offense depending on the situation, and is the class with the highest base hit points among the six classes. Cleries focus on Light-based magic and defensive skills, capable of weakening enemy Light Resist and attacking using holy lightning while mitigating damage by using Block and Shield Blow. They are known for being durable in combat, and their ability to electrocute enemies by chance is able to compensate for their lack of mobility skills and sluggish movement speed. |

With high defense and Aggro manipulating abilities, the Paladin is easily the most suitable class for the tanking role out of all the classes. Being able to draw attention from enemies around him allows his allies to attack without receiving damage. Their primary weapons are Maces and Flails. |

With various healing and buffing spells, the Priest is mainly a support class that focuses in keeping his allies and himself in optimal conditions before, during, or after combat. Their primary weapons are Wands. |

Academics excel in artillery-based ranged combat which is mixed with her inflict negative effects on opponents. Academics boast better-than-average mobility and impressive attack, but cannot withstand a prolonged direct onslaught of enemy fire. To compensate for this, the Academic has the ability to summon Alfredo, a mechanical ally that can provide protection and deal damage to assist the Academic or when the Academic needs aid while hunting alone. |
