Patch

Patching is the process of changing the server files in accordance to updating game content, done primarily by the game publisher during server maintenance. During patching, the game server is rendered inaccessible to players until the necessary changes have been finalized, after which players must update their client files to match the updates done to the server files, a process also called patching.

The process of patching can be done in two ways:

• Autopatching - Involves using the game launcher to automatically download files for the latest patch.
• Manual Patch - Involves acquiring a direct link to the file/s for the latest patch and downloading it from outside the game launcher (i.e., using Internet browsers, download manager programs, etc.)
